WinMend File Copy is a free program that speeds up the process of copying multiple files from one location to another three times faster than Windows normally does. Its unique key technique makes up for the shortage of the system's copy functionality by increasing its speed.
The Interface consists of a single Windowб where the user adds or removes a file or a folder (in batch) with the browser or by dragging the files into the interface.
When copying it will ask the users to choose from 3 different options: "Skip files of the same name", "Match and overwrite files of the same name" and "Overwrite files of the same name". The copy process can be paused temporarily to gain system resources and perform other tasks faster; the integrity of the file will remain uncompromised.
In this version there is the resume feature which instead of skipping a file (because it is being used) keeps it in a queue to make the copy of it when accessible. Additionally, the interruption feature has been enhanced as it can be resumed from the last breakpoint, when running the program again.
There are now 64 bit versions of the program available and it only works with Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
The pausing and resume features are clearly an advantage, but when tested, there was no significant difference in copying time with WinMend File Copy.
